TAVI surgery was successfully performed with the support of Compulsory Medical Insurance in RDС.
At the Republican Diagnostic Center Dr. Anar Amrah and Dr. Shahin Khalilov successfully performed the 2nd heart operation (closed aortic valve replacement without incision and anesthesia) to a patient who had previously undergone open heart surgery (OCS).
As a result of the consultation of experts of the Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology, it was decided that the 2nd open heart surgery is high-risk for the patient with a serious shortness of breath complaint, and TAVI surgery was recommended to the patient.
On February 9, 2024, a patient with severe aortic valve stenosis was treated by Dr. Anar Amrah and Dr. Shahin Khalilov performed a closed aortic valve replacement operation successfully. The patient was discharged home 3 days after the operation.
RDC has a fully equipped hybrid operating room to perform such operations. This makes it possible to perform complex heart operations.
