General surgery

The general surgery department of the Republican Diagnostic Center is staffed by a team of highly qualified doctors who have studied abroad and have long-term work experience.

Here, our surgeons perform open and laparoscopic surgical operations for diseases of the small and large intestines, stomach, esophagus, gall bladder, hernia, as well as endocrine, mammary gland, and proctological operations.

Diseases treated in the general surgery department:

• Peritonarchic area and pelvic branches
• Oncological and other diseases of the colon and rectum
• Anal diseases
• Hernias (inguinal, thigh, umbilical, postoperative, parastomal)
• Mammary gland diseases
• Thyroid and adrenal gland diseases
• Cholecystectomy (laparoscopic and open, if necessary intraoperative USM, cholangiography examinations)
• Open and laparoscopic operations of the spleen
• Hernia operations (open and laparoscopic TEP, TAPP, e-TEP)
• Thyroid operations
• Laparoscopic surgery of peritonarchic area derivatives
• Surgical treatment of diaphragmatic hernias and gastroesophageal reflux disease (laparoscopic)

Operations during stomach diseases:

• Laparoscopic and open gastroectomy, distal subthoracic resection of the stomach, double-tract proximal gastric resection, surgical treatment of leiomyomas and GIST.

Surgical treatment for colon and rectal diseases:

• Laparoscopic appendectomy, anal fissure, pararectal fistula, hemorrhoidectomy operations, diverticulitis surgery (laparoscopic)
