Within the framework of the 1st National Congress held by the Society of Minimally Invasive Surgeons of Azerbaijan from 09.05.2024 to 12.05.2024, on 11.05.2024 in the Department of Live Surgery, Dr. Kanan Ahmadov performed a mini- performed percutaneous nephrolithotripsy.

In this surgical session, Dr. Kenan Ahmadov presented a patient who required access to the kidney from several places, which allowed the kidney to be cleaned from multiple stones in one step.

Percutaneous nephrolithotripsy is an operation to remove kidney stones by performing a lumbar puncture.

The first feature of the operation performed by Dr. Kanan Ahmadov is that the patient is lying on his back.

This prevents changes in the patient's condition during anesthesia and reduces anesthesiological risks. This fact is more relevant in patients with cardiovascular diseases.

The second feature is that it shortens the duration of surgery and anesthesia by skipping the first standard step, cystoscopy and urethral catheterization.

This is possible thanks to his expert knowledge of ultrasound navigation, which ensures that accurate renal punctures are performed without the use of additional guides.
