Electroencephalography, or EEG, is a neurological examination method used to record and evaluate the brain's summary electrical activity.

In our center, EEG examination is performed in 2 rooms with a Japanese-made Nihon Kohden device and a portable, Bluetooth-equipped Missar device.

EEG examination is suitable for all age groups.

EEG examination is used in the diagnosis of the following diseases:

  • Epilepsy
  • Memory loss and seizures
  • Brain damage as a result of trauma
  • Brain tumors
  • Inflammation (pathologies) of the central nervous system
  • Sleep disorders
  • Dementia, Alzheimer's
  • Stroke
  • Speech delay in children, various paroxysmal conditions
  • Disorders of consciousness and perception, forgetfulness
  • Psychiatric diseases
  • Coma, brain death
EEG examination at the Republican Diagnostic Center is performed by neurologist Dr. Almaz Safarova, Ph.D.
